With the rapid development of China’s economy, in the coming 5-10 years, the total investment volume of China civil aviation in infrastructure construction will reach RMB 200 billion yuan (or over 24 billion U.S. dollars) so as to perfect airport system, to strengthen air traffic control facilities and support construction. We must strengthen the standing and the construction of support facilities of the three large-scale key airports of China, i.e., Beijing Capital Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport and Guangzhou New Baiyun International Airport, so that we can heighten their transshipment and international air service capacity. Up to 2005, the civil transport airports throughout China will reach 173, among them 3 are large-scale key airports, 6 medium-sized ones and 164 arterial and feeder ones. Up to 2015, the airports of the whole country will be over 200. With the system reforms of China civil aviation, the state and local governments will increase the investment in building civil airports. The prospects of the airport construction market are very vast.
China International Exhibition on Airport is a component part of Airshow China . In the past eight years, China International Exhibition on Airport was fully supported by CAAC, the Airport Department of CAAC, the Air Traffic Management Bureau of CAAC, China Airport Construction Corporation of CAAC, the South-middle Regional Administration of CAAC and the South-west Regional Administration of CAAC, and has been successfully held for six consecutive sessions. It has achieved good results in airport construction and in stimulating the airport construction markets. It has been approved by the aviation circles and has become the only mature airport exhibition in China at the moment.
China International Exhibition on Airport faces to the airport construction markets all over the country. More than 80,000 trade visitors and purchasers home and abroad will visit the show. Public visitors are expected to reach over 150,000. On the basis of the previous 6 shows, the exhibits scope of the current show are as follows:
